Solved difficulties in installing games in Win7X64

hi
i've seen that some other users had this problem but my problem is a little bit different
every time i try to install a game the installation takes ages to get ready and do the main job
especially in the beginning when a bar is filling when you click the setup icon
in most of games this problem is solved by waiting but in installing total war: shogun 2 it takes ages to go on and somehow the setup cant tell that it needs a second disc

p.s.s. my cpu is intel core i5-2500 and 8GBs of ram

Hi and welcome to the Seven Forums!

Usually installing games (some large like Total War: Shogun 2) sucks the life out of your HDD. Make sure you have enough space on C (where temp files are copied) and the partition you are installing the game on, close any other HDD munching software (like torrents) and also make sure your HDD is in optimal condition and has no errors or bad sectors on it which might slow down your installation process.

Another problem might be your game because if it's not an original copy, it might be packaged badly thus rising the installation time or getting errors.

the problem was mainly from the game itself any way because i turned off the anti virus and turned on tune up turbo
which solved the speed problem but the installer had problems with copying the movies package despite id installed
it on my old system monyhs ago
