Direct x 11 and my graphics card Geforce 8800 GTX (BFG)

I have just installed Windows 7 at home and things are generally working okay.

As a gamer I am excited about Direct x 11.

Do I download it from the net? Did it come with Windows 7 automatically, i.e. do I already have it? :sarc:

Can my card support it?

If you have ATI 5850, or 5870 your card supports DirectX11.

If not, then there is no need to install DirectX11.

It's already installed as the default DirectX version in Seven.

Unfortunately, your card does not support directX11, only DirectX 10. You will be able to use DirectX10 features though.

The only cards that currently support are ATI's new 5xxx series.
