Does anyone know the difference between the version of DirectX that comes with Windows 7 64 bit which is 11 and this one 9.29.1974 located at the following download link Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)

Would I be able to download the one from the link above and would it be more recent then the one which came with our Windows 7 64 bit which again is 11.

it won't do any harm if you install the Redist - it'll update your current installation where necessary..

Note: there are an awful lot of zipfiles - but you can delete the whole lot, once it's installed..
