Hello

Radomly, everytime I'm running World of Warcraft it says "Not Responding" and blinking. Blinking mouse. All this only happends when i'm in-game. Not on logon-screen.

I have GTX 260 again, running DX11. I heard that in DX11, it converts to 9, 10, and the 11 depending on the game.

Is this the game or DirectX. Btw, I also tried to open another game (Mass Effect 2), and it was working all good. But when I was going into the config, it said that my DX needed to be updated. Altho, it the game itself, worked fine.

Suggestions is welcome!

What do you mean running in DX 11? Your setting the game to run in DX11?

The GTX 260 only supports DX10.

Windows 7 itself supports DX11, if the Hardware supports it.
So what you see in the DX Diag, that says DX11, only means thats what the OS is capable of. The 260 itself is not. So games can only run in DX10 at the most.

You will likely need to run WoW in DX9/10 mode.

Its a very good idea to keep DirectX up to date, regardless of GPU/OS.

DX11 is backwards compatable. So if the hardware or software, doesnt support it, it can run in DX10,DX9 etc.
Usually each game has the option to choose which version you want to run it in, depending on the system configuration.

This is also why its important to keep the DX files up to date, even if only using DX9.

I see, so .. you believe it is probably the game?
The thing is, before all this not responding issues came, I could only run WoW with Windowed Mode, but I ticked the Remove Borders. By this it did not lag. I could not run Windowed and maximize it by manual, by doing this, it would lag. All this stuff, came after I reinstalled Windows 7.
I'm running the "Nvidia - Other Hardware drivers" (something like that) downloaded from the Windows Update. And I'm running the Nvidia Ion, where the graphic driver is included.
During the Windows Installation, WoW was on the other harddisk. If it's has taken damage, I don't know.
These "Not Responding" errors is on, then off, on, then off. It doesn't crash. The error is coming, then dissapearing. Weird isn't. I did not do a single thing.

How to update the DirectX in the safty way? (not like scam sources)

As well, Mass Effect 2 couldn't load the Graphic Config, because the DirectX needs to be updated. So I see, there might be more DX11 versions. I might have one of the oldest.

Please, keep posting Wishmaster. I want to fix this desperately, it is such a small lame problem

FredeGail

EDIT; I just saw your signature for Updating DX. Thanks!

Sorry for posting in the wrong place, I see this was moved.

Just to clarify, If the game only supports DX9 then whether the OS or video card is DX10 or 11 is irrelevant as the game will only run in DX9 mode. See here Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues item #6

And yeah keeping the DX9 files updated is good as good thing, as well as video card drivers.

Sounds like a game issue. Have you looked to the game's forums to see if the issue is reported there, and what solutions they've posted? You might do that. Also you can look through this for some tips -Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues

Good luck.

Yeah, I've been there. Basically, I'm reinstalling the game(s) with defective files. The thread for the status follows here (link).
