Disable Keyboard from waking laptop from sleep state

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me. Whenever my laptop is in a sleep state and I accidently press any key on the keyboard, it automatically wakes the computer and I dont want this to happen. I simply just want the power button to wake the laptop.

I have tried disabling every item within the device manager that has the option, 'Allow this device to wake the computer' but still it is happening.

Hello Swifty,

You might see if OPTION TWO in the tutorial below may be able to help with this. It will let you see what devices are able to wake the computer, and how to prevent them from doing so. It may help with the keyboard.

Some BIOS also have a Wake on keyboard setting if Shawn's method doesn't work. A Guy
