Got to Control Panel/Local Area Connection/Properties

Uncheck: File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

In fact, the only thing you need to have checked is: Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

The rest aren't needed on a stand-alone computer.

The Client is only needed if you're on a network.
QoS is only useful on large networks.
Link Layers are only needed if you're going to be connecting to non-Windows 7 computers.
IPv6 can be left checked if you like, but I don't think it's being used at the moment.
