Greetings:

My Start Menu looks kinda like this web pic.

windows-7-start-menu-empty.png

Bottom line: Due to the other customizations I have implemented on my desktop,
the left pane to my start menu is empty, and I have no use for it either.

Is there an advanced way to disable / remove / hide just the left pane to the start menu
from being displayed, while still keeping the sharp looking aero glassy right side?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hello MeVII,

Not without installing a 3rd party Start Menu program. You might consider the free version of Start Menu 7 (aka: Start Menu X) to see how you like it for that.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

Greetings:

Thank you for your lightning fast response!

I thought it would come down to some 3rd party software.
Im trying to cut down on them however.
Fences, Cursor FX, Windows Skins, Gadgets... all combined they consume resources,
are always updating, and Im sure are responsible for instability issues on my PC.

So Ive slimmed down to only Fences, and a free version of Cursor FX.

Ill take a look at this free version you've highlighted for me, but Ill still hold out hope
that there is a non-3rd party way to get it done. :)

Naturally, if I ever find one, Ill post it here.

Thanks again!
