Hi Folks. This problem occurred last year when I was trying to burn some data onto a disc using the Windows software: insert a blank CD (TDK) ;open E from My Computer; drag file into window and hit burn. It would start the process then the window would close and the disc remain spinning, refusing to eject. Clicking on the E partition in My Computer started a search that just went on and on. I had to do a restart and eject the disc at start-up. The company I bought the computer from said I should try 3rd party software but my Roxio 2011 came up error time after time. I bought a new DVD burner (Samsung) and it worked for a while. Now I come to use it again (I don't use it very often) it's displaying all the same problems once more. There's something wrong with Windows or something is conflicting (ITunes?) and driver updates,or firmware updates make no difference. Any ideas?
