Disconnected from internet suddenly, re-connect only after restart!

Hi friends,

I am facing this problem since last week.

I have a dell inspiron 15 with wireless modem of ITI make supplied by my ISP (BSNL India) running windows 7.

While browsing internet normally, suddenly the data transfer stops. Important thing is that ping to google goes through. But i can't browse or download.

I have tried following things -

1. disabling eset smart security temporarily - both antivirus and firewall
2. Disable-Enable wireless adapter form network settings
3. Checked for any suspicious process in task manager tried stopping a few unneeded

Still problem remains same. And its frequency is increasing.

Also, wireless modem is fine since I can browse internet in my Nokia using Wi-Fi.

Pls Help.

Have you tried using a different browser? Have you cleared browsers cache?

Verify if your browser setting has been compromised. Remove Proxy Settings.

@2xg - Tried using 2 different browsers - IE 9 and Chrome in place of Firefox4. Cache cleared.

No proxies are in use.

DHCP is enabled.

Problem still the same.

Have you tried a Systen Restore? Restore it to a point where it was hassle free.

Have you uninstalled your driver from Device Manager then reinstall it? Make sure to download the latest driver from the Manufacturer's site.
