I ran Computer Management>Disk Management to see the data on all my disk drives. Although all the drives are shown, when looking down the left column I noticed that the number Disk 7 was missing. In other words:
o
o
o
Disk 5 - Removable (Flash Drive)
Disk 6 - Basic (External Drive)
Disk 8 - Basic (External Drive)
o
o
o

So Disk 7 was missing in the listing. I've never experienced that before and was wondering what it meant and whether it indicated a problem.

Any suggestion/advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance........

Have you removed an external drive recently? Should there be a disk 7 or was there one recently. The system may not have reset the numbers yet.
Have you tried rebooting?

Thanks. Problem solved - I rebooted and number sequence was corrected. I guess I'll never learn that a reboot solves so many problems.
