disk read error

hi guys

trying to get my train simulator 2014 updated on steam.
but when it gets near the end i get error pop up.

"error occurred while updating trainsimulator 2014 , (disk error error )"

any idea why this happen and how can i fix this :(

However, you should run the diagnostics on the system to ensure there is no error on the harddrive of the system. Check this video which would be helpful:

Hmmm
I ran a check using that dell checker thing. No errors found on my laptop. So it must be a steam issue.

Thanks for your reply. Its great to hear that there are no hardware issues with the system. It seems like an issue with the steam software you can try re-installing the same and any dependent softwares for it.

You could also raise a post under their community and see what they have to suggest. However, you could perform a clean boot to ensure no background processes causing it not to update:
