My daughter has an HP 64 bit computer running Vista home. Through her college she ordered Win 7 . When both the download and the disk came from Digital River they both say win7 32 bit.
From reading on the forum it seems that the 64 bit maybe on the disk.

1. Is the 64 bit on the Disk.
2. How do I ensure that the 64 bit is installed when I do the upgrade?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Mesa7! I'm pretty sure that if it say 32-bit then it is 32-bit. It would be kind of hard to include two full OS's on one DVD. I would find a copy of 64-bit, (From wherever you can ;)) and then use the product key that DigitalRiver supplied.

Thanks,

Each version of Win 7 comes on a separate disc, you indeed have 32 bit. There is not such thing as a 64 bit computer. Your computer is capable of using a 64 bit Operating System and that is what is doing. You can use your DVD on the computer that you have. You will perform what is called a clean install. If you are interested and not sure of the procedure you are very welcome to come back and inquire. If you prefer the use our tutorials, you can use that resource, also. In addition, you can do what I did, I watched the whole process on you tube. Yes, I wanted to see the actual procedure before I tried it the first time. In any case enjoy your new OS in a Healthy and Happy New Year.
