Solved Diskcleanup extended download and any newer tips

I went back to review my thread on disk cleaning routines. Diskcleanup extended is discussed early
on. But the live link to the batch file does not seem active.


Please direct me to that. I have it one machine and need to do more cleaning on another.


Also since that tread is a year old or more-- anything new that applies to Win7. I know these are the last days but not the last days for me.


At that time the routine was



chkdsk


diskcleanup extended


Glary utilities


and Old Timer TFC


Thats as much as I ever did-- no reg cleaning and stuff I should should keep my hands off.

In the regimen of tools I was using this time I got into trouble with Glary Utilities ability to edit services.
I'm an enthusiastic services eliminator and turn off everything I can. I always seem to turn off one (or two) too many and take out the machine. This time I was able to get everything back with a restore.

I don't recommend disk cleaners other than M$ built in ones. I use Disk cleanup very low disk every so often. It runs extended with all options checked.
I've used CCleaner for years though I don't recommend it to others.

I was already familiar with the link you posted. Paul asked me to peruse his scripts.

You can open any batch script with notepad, or my favorite Notepad++. Any text editor works!
