Display driver has stopped responding

Hello sevenforums, I am currently having an issue with what I think is my graphics card. When I run online games the game runs for about 2 minutes, crashes and says "display driver AMD has stopped responding and has been repaired." I've googled this problem and none of the solutions that I've found have worked. I've downloaded Microsoft fix it center and it says nothing it wrong. I've tried to update the card but it says it's already updated.

My graphics card is: AMD Radeon HD 6630
My computer model is: Sony VIAO SE

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Download the latest version of your graphics driver. If you have already done this then download an older version to see if it is more stable.

I've tried to uninstall my graphics AMD Raedon 6630M card because somebody told me that was the problem but now I can't re-download it... should I just take this machine into the the Microsoft store?

Hello. This could definitely be heat related. Please download Speccy by Piriform and upload a shot on a cold boot and another right after the driver crashes.

What do you mean by you have un-installed it? Do you mean in device manager?

You can take it into a PC repair shop - Doesnt have to be a microsoft one. We still maybe able to help you though.

I'm starting to think that it is somewhat heat related... it's working fine now with no problems.

Yes, through device manager and I think my computer read the graphics card wrong because now it says under device manager that its "intel HD 3000" rather than Radeon HD 6630m
