Only happens when I'm using photoshop, never happens when playing games or any other graphic demanding tasks.
I've tried several older versions of my display driver yet it still happens, and more often.
I have a GTX 260 graphics card.
Any suggestions? =]

I did some searching on this problem, it seems that most of the suggestions have to do with problems with addons or plugins.
What's been suggested is to uninstall or disable these one at a time till you hopefully find the one that might be causing the issue.
I know it's not a definitive answer but it's the only thing I could find to suggest. Fabe

"Display driver stopped responding" message informs you that a Timeout Delay & Recovery event has occurred. TDR's help the operating system recover when the video card does not respond as expected.
Since your TDR events only occur when using Photoshop then it follows that Photoshop is not using the video drivers correctly.
Is this an older version of Photoshop?
You could check the Adobe website to see if there are any W7 patches for your version of Photoshop.
You could also reinstall the program in case the original install was corrupted.

@aboo we need more information, such as your full modle #of your Acer Aspire laptop and where you live in order to do a search for what driver is avalible from Acer
Otherwise have you tried the Nvidia site for your driver? I come up with the 179.48 Beta but it's for the 7000M/Nforce 610M 64 bit Win 7 This is why it's important to list your full model #
You can also use Windows Update to find and install your driver?
Please post back with the required information.
Thanks. Fabe

@ the OP have you tried any of the suggestions? Have you found what was wrong and resolved your issue?
I wish more people would post back when given suggestions to their issue and if it has been resolved or not.
This way we either can continue to look for the answer or have a posted record of the fix so others can benift from it. Fabe
