Display Drivers/Video Card and Monitor Screen

So, I got a new video card at work to install and nothing will show up when I plug it in. I can go through the computers VGA and it works fine, but when I go to the video card only a black screen. Any help? Can't download drivers either, only black screen upon boot.

Hi,

Have you tried removing the graphics card and using the on board VGA to boot into windows, you could then install the required drivers.

Then shutdown the PC >> Insert new graphics card and see how that goes??

Thats what I thought too, but when I insert the CD it won't find the card (because it's not in) and won't allow me to.

If i'm understanding this right, you have a motherboard with onboard(built-in) graphics, and now you have a card that you want to use instead, right?

Have you gone into the BIOS and disabled the onboard video(or changed which video that you want it to use)?
I don't know much about your PC, but this is something a LOT of people forget to do.

I did that. The card is Nvidia. Now I got one monitor on, but its just blue.

Im trying to connect 4 monitors. I have a card that can handle this. with 2 DVI splitters. I am just trying to get into vga mode so i can install the drivers that are needed. I can only get 1 blue screen. No BSOD blue, but windows xp blue.

It was set on Auto in the BIOS

NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440?

When I restart both windows XP labels show up on both monitors but than one goes black and one stays blue.
