I am having nVIDIA 8600gt graphic card with my viewsonic VA1912wb monitor. sometimes it doesn't get me anything to display on screen with "no signal" message on screen. The machine powers on but nothing on display.
When I open the machine and remove graphic card, plug it again It starts working.
What could be the problem, the board or graphic card or both?

It sounds like you don't have good contact between the card and pci-e slot.

Take out the card, use a pencil eraser to clean both sides of the gold contacts real well. Blow out the PCI slot as well as you can. Work the card up and down in the slot a bit to make a good contact. Reseat the card and make sure to attach the case screw. See if that helps. A Guy
