Hi, I've never posted here but am having a problem with my Laptop and cannot find a fix.
I have a Dell Vostro 1320 Windows 7 64-Bit

about 3 months ago like an idiot, I downloaded a mac theme for my PC.

got sick of it and uninstalled it, it removed the wallpaper, sounds and a few other things, however some of the icons are still mac, NOT windows, and the log in screen still has the Mac theme NOT the default Windows 7 log in screen.

Now... I did a little research and found a few threads here with a similar issue and the fix was a system restore.
The only problem with that is my last available restore point is only 3 weeks ago, and I am 100% sure I downloaded the theme over 2 months ago.

The theme isn't what's really bothering me, however I think it has an effect on the projector feature (duplicate displays with TV)

I have a Dynex 32 inch 720P TV that I have used to connect my laptop too.

I would connect my laptop to the TV and put it into VGA mode and use the TV as either the main display, clone or extended....you get the picture.

I am not 100% on this, but I stopped doing this a few months ago and for some reason my computer will not project anything to the TV.

I updated all of the drivers, haven't damaged the TV/laptop or anything.

I haven't made any changes with the software that would affect it.

When I connect my laptop to the TV via VGA, the laptop recognizes the analog display. But when I go to projector mode my computer screen is black indicating that it is connecting, but the TV screen says no signal..

however, when I turn the laptop off and connect the VGA before I boot I noticed that my TV WILL display the windows start up stuff, but right before the log in screen shows up it disconnects and the TV does not display anything.

I am thinking that the theme Might have something to do with it.
Could the theme be corrupting a file that lets me use the Projector?
or does anyone have any idea how to fix either the theme or display issue?
any help is appreciated.
and i know it was stupid to download that theme.

Try running "sfc /scannow" from an elevated command prompt to see if it can fix any corrupted or missing system files.
