Distorted font

NVIDIA GTX260

fonts appear distorted when changing display to 120Hz

Your monitor call for a 120Hz resolution? It's more about the monitor than the gfx card; monitor details would help. Also, especially if always present to some degree, have you tried the ClearType tuner (in APPEARANCE AND PERSONALIZATION)

A pic would help and hardly any information, but off the top of my head could be several things:

Turn ClearType off or go back thru the ClearType Wizard to find an appropriate setting.
Overscan can cause this.
Some displays are overly aggressive when it comes to sharpening.

I'm running blind and could be way off, but those above are general causes of distortion.
