DNG Converter

I have just taken 5 RAW files and converted them using the DNG Converter. When I started the conversion, a total of 89 pictures were shown and converted, 84 of these were a series of pictures I took on May the 5th. This happens every time I convert a new batch of pictures!

Can anyone please tell me how I can delete old pictures already converted so as in this case I only need to convert 5 rather than 89?? (85 previously converted and 5 new and not converted)

Just read about DNG Converter, so I'm just guessing here.

Do you specify different source and output folders for the conversion or use one for both.
Does the source folder contain the raw files from May 5th?

Try using different folders - if that doesn't help, DNG must "remember" the previous folder and or conversions.

Failing any setting changes, you could try moving the raw files from the source folder to a new folder outside of the DNG Coverter folder tree (example: Downloads\DNGdone)

First thing download the latest DNG convertor from Adobe - Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 8.4

I actually use Lightroom for all my DNG conversion which gives a few additional options, such as only convert RAW files and delete originals after conversion, but these should be easy enough to reproduce manually, Delete the original files (those without a .DNG suffix)

Clicking the option highlighted below should prevent converting files twice

Thanks for your advice gents. I have done two things, firstly, I copied all the converted files to a folder in "My Pictures" then deleted them in PS and thought that would cure the problem but no, all 89 of them were still there when I opened the latest version of the converter but this time I took your advice Barman and ticked the appropriate box and lo and behold, I got a little message telling me that all the files had already been converted, Bingo!!! Job done and thank you both for all your help.
