DNS not responding?

Hey there,

Lately I've been having an issue with my PC. It's strange - I'll try and open up a browser and load something and it'll give me the generic "this page could not be displayed", and the same thing will happen no matter what browser, and when I try and problem shoot it, the LAN connection will tell me that the DNS is timing out. The strange thing about it is, I'm connected to the internet. I can play cod4, join mumble and teamspeak servers, and remain on xfire. Even when I just start up my pc, I can open web pages - then within two minutes, it goes back to the same error whenever I reload them or try and open a new web page. I'm currently watching a live stream (so of course I'm connected to the internet, and being on mumble and xfire agrees with me), but just the browsers are acting like something's wrong.

I can get on the internet via wifi using my iphone, and my mum's laptop has no issue at all (and I'm told this mean's it's not a DNS issue). I've tried the DNS detail changing (both of the numbers ending in 222, and 220), but neither changed anything.

If I think of anything more then I'll post it here, but I'm really at a loss.

Yeah, refreshed about 4 times during the process to make sure that the problem was still there as I was doing it.

Does reset lan-adapter fix the problem? Or disconnect wifi connection from router and connect again to router. Fixed for a few minutes?

All seems fine btw. You have an internet connection and dns-lookups are working! Are you connected to router by wire or wireless? If wired ... try another lan-port. Any other pc connected with wire to router? if so...is it working?

Yeah, I've tried every port from the router to pc, and nothing has changed yet. And yeah, when i restart the router, it works for a few minutes, but then nothing. It's so weird :S
