DNS Server Not Responding

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit @ work, wireless internet connection. Can access web pages, cannot download files! Error message: "Your computer is correctly configured buth the DNS server is not responding". I've flushed the dns cache, tried Google DNS settings, Open DNS settings...nothing works! Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN Card. No router.
