Solved Do I need to customize 7 to sort files this way ?

I have a large music collection which I add to frequently.
My 'Albums' Directory is sorted by 'name' and grouped by 'date modified' so I can see my most recent additions at the top.

When I add new albums they obviously come under the group 'today', but after only a week or so they are moved to the 'earlier this year' group and then after a year to the 'a long time ago' group.

Id like more specific groups, like January 2012, February 2010 etc to make stuff easier to find and my more recent additions easier to recognize from each other.


Any way to do this ?

Welcome to Seven Forums koregtrr. If you look at the bottom of the "Sort by" and "Group by" menus, you will see a "more" option. There are a huge number of ways to sort there. Forgive me if you knew this and just wanted exact instructions
