Do loops exploding within OS or Explorer when forwarding an article

On my Dell 9200 Dimension using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer (all updates), there are some websites that, when I try to forward an article, the desktop goes into a "do loop" that can only be escaped by rebooting. What is happening here?
