Solved Do you think cooling pads work?

I have a few questions about it
1)Does they work properly to remove heat because my laptop is too hot while playing games, so will it help to keep it cool?
2)Does cooling pad blows air in(sucks) or out?
3)my laptop has only few openings under it so will it be effective.

Vexxum mate depends a lot on the ambient temperature and while I think they are a buit of overkill they can do no harm.

Justmake sure all of the vents underneath are kept clean along with the air intake for the cooler system. (On my Toshiba I have a small piece of fine curtain material over the fan intake to keep out the worst of it)

How old is the laptop? Newer ones generally do not need cooling pads. You can use speccy to see if your pc is actually running hot:

CLEANING A LAPTOP FAN & COOLER RAD

The thing you do is to turn over thelaptop and shine a very bright light into the air intake aperture (you will seethe fan there) and then while doing that look at the outlet vent on the end ofthe laptop you should see the light quite clearly shining through the cooling" radiator" if not it is clogged and will need cleaning as willprobably the fan opening.

You can do this by blowing it outusing a compressed air can in short bursts.

BUT ONE WORD OF WARNING DO NOT blow the air into the fan opening withoutinserting say a plastic rod or large cable tie to stop the fan from spinning asthe air blast will spin the fan at a very high speed that it is not designed totake and may wreck the bearing!!
