do you wait some minutes (3) after the login to run programs?

i mean i know w7 optimizes boot and cache the programs used frequently

ok , i got the point

but i have several programs

sometime i want to burn a dvd ,or run an anti malware scan or listen music or video

in short i don't want that w7 caches in memory this programs too

hope my english is clear enough

I wouldn't advise trying to turn off that feature. It's there for a reason, to optimize the OS performance. It actually makes the system utilize resources better than without it in the long run.

But to answer your first question, I don't wait to start using programs after starting up. I do however use CCleaner to manage the applications I DON'T want to automatically start with the system to cut down on the start time. There are dozens and it really boosts performance to stop them from staying on all of the time when they are not actually being used. I also use Task Manager (Ctrl+ALT+Del) to keep them off after I've used them and closed them out (things like iTunes Helper and etc).

At startup using these methods, I can get my RAM down to under 1GB and it typically coasts between there and 1.05GB unless I start using several programs or launch a game (maximum memory usage gets to about 3GB out of 4GB too, which is nice). So give that method a try first. Works for me.

It is of little consequence whether or not one waits before launching a program while Windows is still in the process of getting itself loaded. If you have a cursor showing, Windows is ready. That first launched program may take a few extra tics if Windows is still tidying up, but subsequent program launches will be completely normal.​

You can easily test this for yourself.

My recommendations.
1. Don't worry about cache, page filing, or any other memory. Windows 7 takes care of all of that.
2. Leave Windows 7 Services alone.

Follow these troubleshooting steps to establish a clean boot so that freeloaders aren't hogging CPU/RAM, Startup time or spying on you.

A warm welcome to SevenForums! I have WinPartol Plus installed and use it either to disable or remove unwanted start-up programs from loading.

The simple rule of the thumb,i follow is "system busy blue circle",beside the cursor(arrow) to stop,before firing up Ccleaner. This takes roughly 20 seconds of waiting. How long do you have to wait before the system busy circle stops revolving?
