Does anyone have experience with Kaspersky Pure?

My subscription to KIS is about to end. I have seen Kaspersky Pure on sale and am considering buying it.

Has anyone here ever used Kaspersky Pure?

If so what are your impressions of it?

My experience with Kaspersky Pure is good. But I have long since shifted to free software which if not better is just as good. So why should I cough up hard earned money?

I suggest that you do the same. Try out MSE or in case you would prefer separate applets then Avast Free A-V, Comodo Free Firewall and Malwarebytes Anti-malware on your computer.

Many thanks for your reply to my post. I have used KIS for two years now and am very satisfied with the security that it provides. I have been able to purchase it at quite low prices so that is an additional plus.

Although Kaspersky Pure offers a few features that I would not make use of I thought to try it because at present I can purchase it for a very reasonable price.

As for MSE I have it installed in Windows Virtual PC (XP Mode). I use the XP Mode only occasionally so for those few times MSE is sufficient security. However, when it comes to the use of freebies on my main pc I prefer to buy an internet security suite such as KIS.
