Does backed up registry include registry hives?

Anyway I'm trying(still) to fix it on my own. My question is does the registry that you backed up via export before include registry hives and if I used the said backed up registry will it restore back the registry hives in order? That is all. I tried using Hiren's Mini XP.

Advice:
Do not play with registry keys, as it is quite deadly.

This forum do not use registry to fix problem.
For me, i did use and reply on registry on most for me to customize certain items, but many years ago.

As your problem may be hardware &or software OR both issues.
