Does Freecell become more difficult as your score climbs?

I'm at a 91% rate and can't seem to bust it. The games to me, unless I'm just bored to death with playing them, are getting so tough I have to start over multiple times.

My old standby as to how to win the game was Get the aces out ASAP, then the small numbers, and before you knew it that game had solved itself. This couldn't be further from the truth now; the most illogical moves seemed to be the answer, but now not even that seems to be the answer.

So, all you experts out there, am I bored or are the games truly getting tougher and tougher?

Thanks!!

Hello Lorena and Welcome to SevenForums :)

Personally I haven't noticed something similar, actually the reason I stopped with Freecell was that I always won easily (not a genius either )

You must be a genius!

Thank you for replying, and I apologize for waiting this long to get back to you. No excuse is the only excuse here!

So your score must have been 100% for so long you gave up hoping for a tough game. Can you tell me any of your methods that made you arrive at boredom because none of them were tough for you? I'd appreciate it very much.

Thank you,
Lorena

Just but the aces first and go from there.
I do remember that back in 2002 or 2003 I did encounter some more difficult games, but nothing THAT difficult.

I suggest to just relax and enjoy the game.

For the Genius

That's exactly what I do, get the ace's out first, then the lowest numbers next.

The next time I find one of the really tough games, I'll get the number and send it to you via this forum and have you take a crack at it, if you have the time.

Thank you very much for replying to me, I am really scratching my head! Oh -- at one point, for probably a two week period, I --ME -- could do no wrong, and was winning the games as fast as I could play them. Odd, odd.

Thank you for replying to me j in n

I allus try to win with the minimum number of cards in the home cells. Once only, I had only 4 cards in the home cells, one click, and 48 cards went up: fit-it-it-it, & up they all went!

Being a stubborn senior I stay on each one until finished. Aces out works most of the time but not always. Does seem to improve thinking after a while. There are a few nasty ones that usually seem to come up late evening just before bed.

Notice to all responders please:

I'm just now beginning to play my 1,304th game, with a win rate as of the last win being .91494. So obviously if I'm only on game number 1,304, my fellow Senior, then I'm way, way behind you.

So shoot, if I'm suddenly having major struggles in the past month or so, then my brain has to be saying au revoir, my fellow Free Cell lovers.

To everybody: The next time I'm on one that's kept me on it for 3-4 days, I'll publish the cotton pickin' game number to see how many of you solve it right out of the gate. Fair enough?

Sounds like a plan. I can make a new user to try as my score is 100% and I don't want to screw that up. Took a few false starts to get this far.
