Does Motorola S9-HD work in Windows 7 RTM?

Hey guys, I want to buy a Motorola S9-HD for my skype on PC. I want to know if I can use it in Windows 7 RTM.

Any successful experience? What adapter are you using?

New driver available for Broadcom bluetooth

I have been trying unsuccessfully to pair my S9 to my Compaq laptop. A new driver notice came in Friday and now it works. And, it works without the reuired extra USB dongle under XP. Here are the steps to get it working:

1. Power on your Windows 7 and set bluetooth to discover.
2. Power on the S9. Initially, you will get error messages of "driver not found", etc. After a few minutes, you should get an action notice that a Bluetooth update is available.
3. Download and install the update, shut off the S9 and reboot.
4. Now comes the tricky part: when bluetooth comes up, turn on the S9 so it can be discovered. You may have to pair it and use the configuration key "0000".
5. Open the Control Panel, then the "Sound" app. Click on the "Playback" tab. You will see that there are TWO speakers, and the system speaker is set to default. Change the default to the S9 (shown as a heatset).
6. Now open your sound icon and adjust everything normally--volume, mute, etc.

Motorola S9-HD doesn't work with windows 7

I tried repeatedly to connect mine, the icon shows up, but it won't connect. I tried to delete it and start over but it just keeps reappearing. When I initially installed it, I was never offered an update. It doesn't show up in the audio app, only the 2 speakers. Where do you get the drivers for this? Help....

It should work with skype

I have also tried numerous times to pair my Motorola S9 to my laptop, a Lenovo T61 (all on the same day and without restarting), but without luck. Today I tried again after reading this forum, and now it works (with sound anyway. I don’t know if the microphone works, but if I look at the “Recording” tab, under “Sound” in the “Control Panel” the microphone is active).

This is what I did:
I have tried to pair them before, so maybe it remembers something from that time, witch means that a reboot, after the first failed attempts, may be a must.


1. I started up the laptop, and doublet clicked on the Bluetooth icon in the process line.

2. Clicked “Add a device”. Turned on the headset and kept holding down the power button until the blue light, on the headset, was turned on permanently.

3. Then I clicked on the Headset that the PC’s Bluetooth adapter had found. Now it started installing some drivers, and the blue light, on the headset, changed to green.

4. Then I went to the “Control Panel”, clicked the “Sound” icon and on the “Playback” Tab I choose “Speakers Bluetooth Hand-free Audio” and clicked on the ”Set Default” button, and now it works.


The first time I tried to pair this headset with my laptop, I didn’t get the Bluetooth device as an option on the playback tab (that’s why I think it needs to be restarted after the failed attempts , and I never got asked for the code you normally use, when pairing 2 Bluetooth devises.
