A clever optical illusion. Analysing the frames, she actually only ever moves in one direction. It is brain which interprets this, and periodically reverses it. If you concentrate, you can make her rotate alternately left and then right.

Apparently, the ability to see her turn both ways is supposed to indicate a high IQ...

You can 'trick' your brain into watching her direction change by 'thinking' in different ways that engage different parts of the brain.
