Solved Does Simplex need to be run on a monthly basis?

After you do a clean install of Windows 7 SP1, use the current version of Simplix Update Pack 7R2 so you can bring the operating system up to date to the current month and year.

After that's done, a scan with Windows Update should detect and install new updates which are released every month.

There's no need to obtain the new version of the update pack every month and run it.

The current Simplix pack will update to Dec 2021. However it uses the "ESU Bypass" to get the updates after EOL Jan 2020, but it doesn't install the Bypass. To get future updates to Jan 2023 you need to install the Bypass v11 onto your system. Also when using the Simplix pack you need to use the " dotNetFx48_20211028.wa" file placed in the same folder with Simplix pack in order to up date "dot.Net 4 components to currant. x86 or x64 whichever you use.

On a monthly basis how do I know the MS Updates were applied?

Is there a visual I can look for?

So far, I have not seen or noticed a message of any Update activity!
