Since finally switching to WIN7 x64 about a week ago, I have these intermitent annoying chimes, like alerts. I have uninstalled just about everything on the PC and the likely suspects are narrowed down to WiN7 & a gremlin.
For instance, The action Center has no current alerts. But deeper inside the Action center there are some notes. e.g. UAC is set to off. Will things like this (UAC) set off chime alerts??
Does WIN 7 emit chime alerts? If "YES" can I 'nuke' the offending dll or registry file or whatever to end this misery?
