does window 7 support nividia 8500?

i installed window 7 earlier and installed the driver for my graphic card and it doesnt not detect it.

im just trying to make sure it will work.

To answer your question yes,

though it isn't Windows that supports the card, it is the card and its drivers that support Windows 7.

As to why it wasn't being detected, that could have been down to a missing or incomplete chipset driver (also known as motherboard drivers).
