In my work from time to time I help manage a server and part of my job is to keep it updated. I was wondering if anyone knows if Microsoft also tries to infect server editions in the same way it does in Win7.
I would guess that GWX doesn't gets installed in the server editions (it would be very inconvenient to see Win10 on a server
), but does Windows Update delivers anything like that?
I'm also concerned about the spyware-ridden updates (aka "telemetry"), does those also affect server versions of Windows?
I would prefer to avoid those like the plague, but I don't want to simply skip updates althogether like I do on 7 since the outbreak of the GWX virus.
Thanks!
