a few years ago, i was alerted to shouts from upstairs , to find my then 5 year old daughter stuck with the seat up.

dont you just hate it when you triple wrap a present for posting with brown paper,cardboard and ducktape etc,making it almost impenetrable...

...then you realize you didnt include the xmas card.

you have to tape it to the outside of the parcel as it would take half an hour to unwrap then a further half hour to re wrap.
Doh!

I hate it when something arrives in the post from ebay and the seller has wrapped the parcel with lots of parcel tape etc. It takes me a good 5-10 minutes to get the thing open. Also it is a waste of tape and most padded envlopes seal themselves, so its not necessary.

I had a favorite Aunt that had an old house with oak toilet seats. One night in the middle of the night when I was staying with her and my Uncle, A blood curtling screen from the bathroom. The seat had a crack in it and when she sat down, the crack pinched her and she could not get up. She screamed for help and my Uncle an I laughed ourselves silly looking at her. We finally got her up and she had a huge pinch on her bottom but that did not stop her from flailing at us for laughing at her. I still remember that and she has been dead for 25 years..

When I was in my teens and spending the night at my oldest sisters house, my bedroom was on the second floor of the house right across from the bathroom with the stairway separating them. Well, late that evening I woke up and needed to use the bathroom. So instead of doing the smart thing and turning on a light, I made my way to the bathroom in the dark. When I turned into what I presumed was the bathroom doorway, it turned out to be the stair way and I fell down a flight of oak steps on my bum. Needless to say, my bum and tail bone were painfully sore for a couple of weeks.
