Periodicly (60 second) Iˇm getting sound alarm (double beep) from the case speaker, temperatures are normal, memtest passed, everything is working normaly..From the moment I turn on comp (during boot process) till i it turn off. Happens also if I'm working whit XP (so its not software). Its annoying, drives me mad. Any suggestion how to solve this? Thanks in front:p

Any chance you have a virus in both OS’s. There was an old virus that went around that would beep the internal PC speaker every 60 seconds.

A good virus scan and malware scan would be a great place to start.

1) Check the sounds and audio in the control panel, your sound scheme, and see if you have something set to a system beep.

2) Does it beep in the Safe Mode? Press F8 just as Windows is about to boot. If it doesnt beep in safe mode, its likely a 3rd party app.

3) Boot off a startup disk and leave your computer on for an hour. If it doesnt beep, it may have something to do with the OS. If it does, it may be a hardware issue.

4) Check in Event viewer if you can spot any recurring error.

From the moment I turn on comp (during boot process)

If the beeps start during BIOS boot then they are most likely coming from the motherboard and not the OS or Software. If you enter the BIOS and just stay there - do the beeps continue?

Two short beeps, whether AMI or Pheonix BIOS, indicates memory problems. We have had others posting here that had bad memory that passed Memtest.

Try reseating the memory modules, then switching the modules in their slots, and finally, install just one module at a time in slot #1. If the error code occurs with just one module then that one is bad.

Hope that helps
