I have a gaming pc that was custom built by a friend. It has windows 8 pro and I have just about had enough with windows 8. I have used the start menu download etc but I do prefer windows 7. Is it easy to install windows 7 from a cd. If so do I need to install drivers etc again?? In detail would be GREAT!

Thanks!

If it's not a Win8 PC then it likely doesn't have Secure Boot so there's really nothing different about reinstalling unless you have UEFI which requires some special steps in the tutorial VistaKing linked.

Otherwise delete all partitions during booted install to reinstall.

Since you asked about drivers you should probably also look over the steps to get a perfect reinstall which are the same as for Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 . It compiles everything that works best based on helping with countless thousands of installs here since before Win7 was even released.

As your Motherboard is not listed in your specs, check with your friend, to find out if you have a Windows 8 ready Motherboard.
If a Windows 8 ready Motherboard, the Motherboard will have Secure Boot, but may be ENABLED or DISABLED, to install Windows 7 will need to be DISABLED.
