Hey guys. I am giving up on Windows 7. I have an XP disk and I put it in but it won't allow me to install XP. If I delete system32 and then put the XP disk in would it work? If not what do I do?

Windows 7
If you upgraded from XP, what your suggesting is contrary to the EULA. If you have the full retail 7, DVD, then just set your bios to boot from the Full retail XP DVD and do a clean install.

I am sorry. I am not very good with computers.....What does that mean? LOL I know I sound like an idiot.

What does it mean and how do I do it?

And would deleting system32 work or not?

You can revert to XP if you decide not to use a Win7 Upgrade version.

You need to boot from the XP CD to delete the Win7 installation completely and then format the HD before install, as XP has a different partition table and will not run from Win7 anyway.

Have you attempted to resolve the issues with Win7 first? We can possibly help.

My issue is rare and unheard of. It came with my windows 7. My computer had an allergic reaction....I can't download ANYTHING from the internet that isnt microsoft. It says something like "This program has been blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature."

I cant even download google chrome or firefox! I CANT EVEN GET AVAST!

Did you boot from the Win7 DVD and format the drive before install using Custom>Advanced drive tools?
