hi, i just got a new laptop running on windows 7 (my last comp ran on xp so im new to this) and im trying to download my games from steam. every time i start a game download i usually do it right before i go to sleep so it will download while im asleep. but my computer always goes into sleep mode and stops the download! UGH! is there a way to make it download while in sleep mode? if not is there a way for it to wait to go into sleep mode until the downloads are complete? or is there a mode i can set it in where things can still download while the monitor is off? thanks for all of your help!

you can go to control panel>hardware and sound>power option. you can change that there. usually i set never on both sleep and when closing the lid. you also can go there by clicking on battery icon on notification area icon (on the below right of your desktop) go to more power option. and adjust the power scheme setting. :)
