Download speeds using ethernet in Win 7 64 bit sp1 has slowed to a cra

Hi folks, I don't know why but any thing I try to download from any site is dreadfully slow, I am convinced it is a setting somewhere . Event viewer showed I am having problems with showing an IP Address or maybe something with my homegroup or workgroup but I am not sure.

I have a small apartment and nobody's around , I have just an Ethernet cable providing net access through broadband , no one else is sharing or anything.

I don't know what I should have my settings at

Can you post screen prints of the Event Viewer errors you see?
Seeing the errors could help someone here give you better help and suggestions.

I had a problem where downloads slowed to a crawl, but it was only for MS Updates (patch Tuesday).
In Device Manager I uninstalled the Network Adapter and drivers.
I rebooted and Windows reinstalled the Network Adapter.
That fixed the issue I had.
