This is hard to describe but when I download a video that is in the MP4 format when playing it back, it plays in "slow motion." It seems to only do it with MP4 formatted videos and not avi, wmv, etc. I know that I have been experiencing problems with Adobe Flash Player in FireFox and there has been some discussion about this possibly being tied in with problem. I am operating Windows 7 Pro. Any ideas, experts?

Convert one of the .mp4 files to .wmv and see what happens. I have trouble with .mp4 files myself and that solves it.

Not to derail this thread, but I have not noticed any problems with MP4 files (however, there are many ways to encode video/audio and get an MP4 file). Do you have a link to an MP4 file that is a problem for you? What kinds of problems do you see? What player/codecs are you using?

That's the problem. MP4 files come in many shapes. Some are without problems, others are not. Even the MP4 output of the Windows Live Movie Maker is problematic. That's why I always use WMV as output filetype.
