Having connected my Win7 laptop to my phone via bluetooth I saw a yellow bar across the top beneath the menu bar in either 'Devices and Printers' or 'Bluetooth Devices'.

The bar read about connecting to the internet to gain more information about my devices and I didn't want this at first, so chose the option not to.

Now that I do, is there a way of doing this manually?

Thanks in advance!

Right click the device in Windows Device Manager, then choose update driver and see what happens - so far I must say that W7 is pretty poor at getting driver updates done right, or even detected as available...

unfortunately this doesnt do the job. perhaps its because it lacks info for my phone but then it looks like the option was to gain info on all devices and printers that are connected
