Hello,

I've had this problem for a while now. Downloading larger files 500mb & up through any browser (chrome, firefox, even tried IE) fails after varying time (1-20) seconds. Sometimes with firefox, i can get around this issue by manually pausing and resuming the download once its come to a halt, to "jump start" it. However, it seems this has stopped working for me.

My internet speeds are MORE then fine, i have no problems downloading torrents or steam games. However, there is a weird anomaly (since a few months back) that i am getting around 100mbs/down, but i only pay for 30-35 mb/s down. I am not sure if that has anything to do with this blessing. I am pretty sure i have a regular consumer modem that im not sure is rated for 100 mb/s down.

I've tried disabling my anti-virus, did not help.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. I'm not familiar with the difference between MB/s vs. Mb/s, so i just looked it up. That's bytes vs bits? So a 100Mb/s would equal to 10MB/s right? Anyways, this is a really fast speed right?

I'll check out IDM and see if it helps, thanks.

EDIT: I think my ISP (TWC) has changed its internet model and got rid of different packages - and now only offers one, up to 100mb/s
That's at least the situation when i look at their high speed internet packages, there is just one to choose from. "Speeds Up to 100Mbps". So that explains my record breaking fast STEAM downloads.

Hi,
Actually the download speed is 118.18 MBPS
That is extraordinary :)

Have you tried In-Private browsing and make sure none of the security toolbar.... are in your browsers ?

I'm sure your torrents are enjoying your upload speed.

No Mike his download speed is 118.18 Mega BITS, not Mega Bytes, there is a huge difference, but none of that matters in this case.

B=Bytes b=bits

There is something wrong with your NIC or the PC in general, Who is your ISP have you contacted them about the issue ?

Just food for thought...

Don't know if this will help you but I download the smaller files first and then download the larger files one at a time.
