Solved Dpi switch ?

Good Day All
I just got a new mouse, and it has a "800/1600 Dpi" switch on it.
Could someone be so kind to explain what this is and how to use it

DPI is dots per inch, the more DPI means the more sensitivity of the mouse

You'll find 1600 dpi more comfortable to use on larger resolution monitors. At 800 you might find it to take a while to drag the cursor across the monitor, whereas with 1600 you'll be able to move it around with little effort.
