Drag Something To Desktop But Doesn't Show

This has been happening for a while now whats happening is i would drag something to the desktop and it wouldn't show but when i go to Start>Computer>Desktop it shows it in the folder but not actually on the desktop

Anyone know whats happening????

1. Right click on the desktop - "View" - check or uncheck "Auto Arrange Icons".

2. Right-click on desktop, "View" and uncheck "View desktop icons". Repeat the action,but re-check the box.

If icons were saved to Desktop but don’t appear on the Desktop
1. Try Refreshing the Desktop (as suggested above).
2. Temporarily reduce or increase your screen resolution to see if you can see the icon and drag it toward the center of the screen. Then you can set your resolution back to what it was.
3. If your Desktop is filled with too many icons you may not be able to add any more. If this is the case, try deleting one and see if a new one that you hadn't seen, appears somewhere on the Desktop. (This happened to me when I used to fill my Desktop with tons of icons.)
