Dreamweaver CS4 Databases ERROR - Was once connected
I’m working with Dreamweaver CS4 and when I got to my databases / mysql connection / test my connection, I get the following error….
HTTP Error Code 500 Internal Server Error.
What is going on and how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance

I'm assuming that you're connecting to an external website.
Have you checked to see that it is operational?
I.E. Call up your webhost and ask them whether their mysql database is down.
If it is, make sure that all of your settings are correct inside of Dreamweaver.

I contacted my web hosting co. and they said everything is fine and when I type my web address, I get "Hello World" from WordPress.
All my connections are connecting successfully in Dreamweaver, except MySQL connection.

Have you set up a MySQL database on your web server? This could be the reason it isn't responding to your commands. Otherwise, re check the settings in Dreamweaver.

Does your server allow external connections to the mysql and is there a port open on the server to allow the connections.

I’m running WinLAMP. I need to configure mysql settings. Any good tutorials that I could follow to get the perfect settings on what I’m building my website for? I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 / Windows 7 / building a social network website.
Thank you ALL, so much for help
