Hi all,
I'm new, but I've searched the website for Dreamweaver and did not see this problem.
I have an old version of Dreamweaver 8 (I'm waiting til next Spring to upgrade to CS5). I installed it this weekend - it installed, loaded fine, and let me edit a few sites. I've shut down a few times since then. Now, when I try to load the program, it doesn't work. The first time I load after rebooting, the Dreamweaver splash screen appears, an indicator spins for a few seconds, then it disappears. It doesn't show up in the process list on the task menu. When I try again, the splash screen appears and then the program goes away much more quickly.
Please help! I have some work due this week, and I'd love to continue editing with dreamweaver.
The only other funky thing going on is that I was running an XP/seven dual boot. A few months back, I did an update on XP, and both crashed completely. XP never rebooted, but seven did after I told it to go back to an earlier version. Since that happens, when I restart, I get a message that says the computer must be restarted for updates to continue. This happens no matter how often I say restart. I just ignore it and continue working, and it's been fine.
Thanks for your help,
Roxy
