Drive data disappears after installing xp

MY DRIVE DATA DISSEAPPEAR AFTER INSTALLING XP:-
today i install windows XP- install audio driver then i open my G DRIVE (my songs drive) to check audio.
it was empty then i check its properies it shows
USED 11 GB
FREE 20 GB
as usual but it was empty
then i check disk G DRIVE for errors & then reinstall xp on formating C drive
after setup windows second time i open G DRIVE. it was still empty but when i see its properties it says:-
USED 0 BYTE
FREE 0 BYTE
CAPACITY 0 BYTE
PLZ HELP ME TO RECOVER MY DATA.

I AM ATTATCHING ITS PROPERTIES.

its probably hidden. to view it go to tools in the menu bar, then folder options, then view, then show hidden files an there it is!!!

did you click apply when selected the box?

sorry didn't see second picture. you are going to have to reformat that drive to even make it accessible I'm afraid.

Yeah G: data is gone. I'm not sure how you did it, maybe had something to do with it being extended partition. I won't use those myself.

Did you check on D and F drives?
