You can, but be sure to make a system restore point before installing anything...

I'm from the "if it aint broke, don't fix it school". Unless I'm having a problem, I'm slow to mess with the drivers. I've used some of these driver updating programs before and found that often they download wrong versions for my hardware. I'd at least check with the manufacturer of the device you want to update and see if they recommend the new driver for your device.

Others may disagree, but I wouldn't let any software automatically scan and update drivers.

If you wish to update them, go to the official site for your hardware and get them directly from there.
This way you know what you're getting & that its the correct version.

Thanks for the fast replies guys, i appreciate the help. I guess you're all right, i'll leave these alone for now. Nothing seems to be wrong with my computer other than the quickplay buttons on my laptop not working, i downloaded the drivers for them and still nothing. I'm really not too sure how to go about fixing this problem.

Have a good weekend everyone.
peace

It would probably be a good idea to make sure you have the "let me know which updates are available before downloading" option checked and take note of which ones you decide to install. And as Tews said, make a restore point.

It's not always a good idea to get all updates immediately. On some of the less critical ones, I like to wait about a week & see if any problems surface.

I done a little digging around there as well and came up with the same thing.
It also leads to a page stating they may not support Win7 unless specifically listed in the chart, found here:
Finding Software and Drivers After Changing the Operating System to Windows 7 HP Pavilion dv2500 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)=

Im assuming you purchased your own copy of Win7 and done a clean instal?

Maybe contacting customer support will be helpful.

Worst case scenario,to get the quick play functioning:
What you may wish to try, is downloading the drivers for Vista (x64 if your running 7 x64 obviously)

Majority of the time, Vista drivers will work. You may need to run the installer in compatability mode for Visa however.

Im unsure if it will here or not however, just a suggestion if you havent tried it.
As always, back up your system first, just in case.
